This cooperative restaurant is a newcomer to J. Readers’ Choice winners, offering artisan breads, morning pastries and gourmet pizza, prepared on-site and served up hot and delicious. The Oakland co-op focuses on providing healthy food using straightforward recipes and quality, organic ingredients. Stop by early for hot muffins, scones and pastries, including some vegan treats. For lunch or dinner, try the vegetarian pizza of the day featuring seasonal vegetables, infused oils, and fresh herbs on organic, thin sourdough crust. Specializing in Neapolitan-inspired pizza complemented by a daily changing roster of seasonal antipasti, piatti (small entrees), beer, wine and other beverages.
