Focusing on instilling Jewish values of Kavod (respect and honor) and Kehillah (community) in children at a young age to help them mature into community-minded mensches (good people).  Plenty of activities to get the creative juices flowing and nurtured, along with outside play.

Congregation B’nai Shalom, a Conservative synagogue in Walnut Creek, provides this preschool for ages 1-5 years old. Enhanced by its beautiful outside areas for playtime, the extensive programs include family programs, parents’ night out, and enrichment programs. The enrichment classes cover various interests and include cooking, soccer, movement, art, and Hebrew. Opportunities for growth are many, including projects that focus on creative arts, science exploration, critical thinking activities and dramatic play.

Peninsula JCC preschool is once again a winner in J.’s Readers’ Choice awards. Their regular offerings include weekly special-interest classes for children ages 3-5 to complement the school’s regular sessions. The preschool features a play-based learning environment, supported by the most current child development research, and engages minds by sparking creativity, curiosity and imagination. Scheduled open houses are available to visit the preschool with upcoming dates through May, and school applications for the 2022-2023 year are now being accepted.
