Horoscopes for Adar: Double the joy this month — and not a moment too soon

Adar Aleph, 5784

Feb. 9-March 9, 2024

The terror and heartbreak of Oct. 7 have flooded the quarter-year since with our tears. The good news is that 5784 is a “pregnant” year — that is, a leap year with two Adars, totaling 60 days of the most joyful month of the year. The Lubavitcher Rebbe taught the 60 days of Adar during the Jewish leap year possesses the powerful ratio of 60:1, giving it the spiritual power to transform negativity into positivity. We need this superpower now, more than ever!

Transformational Pluto has already entered Aquarius/D’li; now Mars/Ma’adim and Venus/Noga join him on Feb. 13 and Shabbat Terumah, respectively. Venus and Mars meet up Fe. 21. Our relationships are now evaluated by Aquarian ideals – humanitarianism, collective responsibility and the moral imperative to provide for others. Those with clashing values find relationships dissolving during this time. There’s a special kind of joy in culling what doesn’t align.

Venus squares Jupiter/Tzedek on Shabbat Tetzaveh, which is Shushan Purim Katan and the Full Moon in Virgo/Betulah. The fog lifts and brings reality into focus. We may not like what we see, but the joy of knowing the truth overrides uncertainty.

Mars squares Jupiter while the Sun and Mercury/Kochav conjunct Saturn/Shabbatai Feb. 27-28. Protecting one’s joy is serious business. Be seriously protective of body and soul on Shabbat Shekalim. Unstable and unpredictable Uranus/Oron is squared by Mars and sextiled by the Sun, while Mercury enters Aries/Taleh – a potentially explosive combination.

The forces of negativity have tried to steal our joy. A double dose of Adar will restore, replenish and heal.

Aries / Taleh

Double Adar goes a long way in restoring joy to your faith. Planetary ruler Mars/Ma’adim enters Aquarius/D’li and conjuncts Pluto Feb. 12-13, a powerful kickoff to a 20-year transformation of your relationships with friends and communities. Venus/Noga conjuncts Mars Feb. 21 and Mars squares Jupiter/Tzedek Feb. 27. Your intrinsic core values rise to the occasion; those non-negotiables make themselves known loudly. Bold courage and courageous communications are yours on Shabbat Shekalim when Mars squares Uranus/Oron and Mercury/Kochav enters Aries. The joy which has departed from your faith is refilled by prayers of praise.

Taurus / Shor

Double Adar restores joy in your communal relationships. Planetary ruler Venus/Noga enters Aquarius/D’li Feb. 16, at the First Quarter Moon in Taurus, and conjuncts Pluto Feb. 17, Shabbat Terumah. New ways of giving, encouraging, and supporting your community also raise your public profile. Venus conjuncts Mars/Ma’adim on Feb. 21, and squares Jupiter/Tzedek on Shabbos Tetzaveh during the Full Moon in Virgo/Betulah. All the difficult lessons you’ve learned, all the personal growth you’ve achieved over the last few difficult years come to fruition now, and you can rise to any occasion, personal or professional, with renewed joy.

Gemini / T’omim
