SAN FRANCISCO

Friday | June 26

“Trans March Shabbat” — Shabbat ritual and BYO picnic before cheering at transgender march for Pride Month. Co-sponsored by Congregation Sha’ar Zahav, Base Bay Area, Or Shalom Jewish Community and Keshet. At Dolores Park, Dolores and 19th streets, S.F. 5-6 p.m. Free. 

Sunday | June 28

S.F. Pride Parade — Walk or ride on Congregation Sha’ar Zahav’s bus with the multifaith group United in Spirit or join the Jewish contingent through the Jewish Community Relations Council Bay Area. Meetup details vary.

Friday | July 10

“Shabbat Under the Stars” — Chabad of Sonoma Valley’s annual Shabbat celebration with guest Cantor Chaim Freund of Toronto. Dinner with kosher wine provided. At Krug estate, 2800 Main St., St. Helena. 6:30 p.m. reception, 7 p.m. dinner. $54. 

Saturday | July 11

Wayne Feinstein — Author and former head of the S.F.-based Jewish Federation discusses his novel “Turning.” At Book Passage, 51 Tamal Vista Blvd., Corte Madera. 1 p.m. Free.

Friday | July 10

“Shabliss” — Kabbalat Shabbat service with meditation led by guest Rabbi Brian Yosef Schachter-Brooks with his “Torah of Awakening” framework. Followed by dinner. At Congregation Netivot Shalom, 1316 University Ave., Berkeley. 6-9 p.m. $25, $12.50 children.
