Eve Annenberg’s “Romeo and Juliet in Yiddish” explores powerful themes. Set in present-day Brooklyn, N.Y., the film touches on divisions within the Hassidic community, tells a classic love story and, most significantly, explores Yiddish in the contemporary world — about half of the film’s dialogue is in Yiddish, and some of the actors are native Yiddish speakers.
