Justice will be served

Passover has much to say about what we eat for eight days, but the holiday also has a lot to teach us about how to approach food during the rest of the year. The themes of slavery and liberation can inform our view of food justice, following the model of discussing meaningful topics over a ritual meal. “Food Justice Passover,” a collaboration of The Kitchen, Hazon, American Jewish World Service and others, will include teachings by community leaders, space for conversation and a vegetarian, ethically produced and hametz-free Passover dinner.
