Marilyn Ramenofsky, a professor at U.C. Davis, is scheduled to be inducted into the National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame on Sunday, April 21.

Ramenofsky, 66, set the world record for the 400-meter freestyle three times in 1964 and won a silver medal in the event at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. She was inducted into the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in 1988.

Ramenofsky is an adjunct professor of neurobiology, physiology and behavior at U.C. Davis. She is a native of Phoenix.

The Jewish Hall of Fame is in Comack, N.Y. Included among this year’s nine inductees is gymnast Aly Raisman, who won a gold medal in floor exercise and was the captain of the U.S. women’s gold medal–winning squad in the 2012 Summer Olympics.
