Are you caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s disease?
The Alzheimer’s Association and Jewish Family and Children’s Services of the East Bay are teaming up to offer a six-week course starting in September that will provide clinical-level training for family caregivers. Learn strategies to manage stress, make decisions and conduct activities of daily living.
The caregiver program provides more than 12 hours of face-to-face training with dementia experts, as well as a caregiver manual and CD-ROM.
Classes meet Thursdays from 5:30 to 7:30 pm on Sept. 12, 19 and 26 and Oct. 3, 10 and 17 at JFCS/East Bay’s Contra Costa Office,1855 Olympic Blvd., suite 200, in Walnut Creek. Registrants must commit to attending all meetings. There is no fee.
