200 volunteers
On the second annual East Bay Tikkun Olam Chessed Day on Oct. 20, more than 200 volunteers participated in 12 activities, from sorting medical supplies for clinics in developing countries to beautifying Redwood Regional Park in Oakland (left) to doing arts and crafts with seniors. Volunteers came from six synagogues and four other Jewish organizations.
