An extraordinary save. The HBO documentary “50 Children: The Rescue Mission of Mr. and Mrs. Kraus” tells the incredible story of a Philadelphia couple, Gilbert and Eleanor Kraus, who traveled to Vienna and helped rescue a group of Jewish children just months before the start of World War II. Director Steven Pressman will make a special appearance at a Marin JCC screening of the critically acclaimed film, which will be followed by “The Real Inglorious Bastards,” a short documentary about Quentin Tarantino’s 2009 blockbuster. 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25 at Osher Marin JCC, 200 N.
