Approximately 250 women showed up for an evening of unity, levity and leavening at the MegaChallah Bake on Oct. 22 at the JCC of San Francisco. Organized by women from 11 San Francisco Orthodox organizations, the event had a “unique synergy,” according to Hinda Langer, rebbetzin of Chabad of San Francisco. MegaChallah Bake started in South Africa in 2013 and is now a global phenomenon with hundreds of thousands of participants.
