‘Roman Vishniac Rediscovered.’ Although rarely published in his lifetime, the Russian photographer was one of the most prolific documentarians of Jewish life in Eastern Europe prior to World War II. The CJM is exhibiting prints, film footage and personal correspondence representing more than five decades of Vishniac’s work, including portraits and photomicroscopy made after he came to the United States in 1941.
