Tad Taube (left), Polish-born founder of Taube Philanthropies, receives the Commander’s Cross, Poland’s highest civilian honor, from Polish Consul General Mariusz Brymora in ceremonies May 2 at San Francisco’s City Hall. Brymora cited Taube’s support of the new Polin Museum of the History of Polish Jews in Warsaw as well as the International Jewish Music Festival held annually in Krakow.
