Haiku and Prayers. Art photographer Sonia Melnikova-Raich of San Francisco has a new installation titled “Haiku and Prayers: Where Jewish and Japanese Converge.” Drawing its inspirations from Japanese haiku and Jewish meditative poetry, the exhibit features more than two dozen art photos each paired with haiku poems and other literature and liturgy. Meet the Moscow-born photographer and go on a guided walk through the exhibit on Aug. 14.
