A scene from “The Dove Flyer,” also known as “Farewell Baghdad”

The Jews of Iraq: To mark Israel’s annual commemoration of Jewish refugees from Arab countries, the 2014 film “The Dove Flyer” will be screened and two Jewish men who fled Iraq will talk about their experiences. Set in early 1950s Baghdad, the drama offers a look into Iraq’s thriving Jewish community of 130,000 shortly before its expulsion. Hosted by S.F-based JIMENA (Jews Indigenous to the Middle East and North Africa) and the Israeli Consulate.
