More than $1 million went into the coffers of Friends of the IDF at the annual gala dinner of the pro-Israel nonprofit’s Bay Area chapter.

Held earlier this month at San Francisco’s Park Central Hotel, the event drew an audience of 450 including Jewish community leaders, and featured speeches from Israel Defense Forces personnel, including Cyber Command Chief of Staff Brig.-Gen. Yaron Rosen, a 30-year veteran of the Israeli Air Force.

The evening also featured a performance by the IDF Orchestra. Among those in attendance were Israeli Consul General Andy David, community leaders Ricki and Zvi Alon, Nancy and Steve Grand, Susan and Moses Libitzky, Luba Troyanovsky and FIDF San Francisco chair Nik Wolfson.
