The Northern California Board of Rabbis (NCBOR) brings together rabbis from every branch of Judaism, creating an unprecedented network of mutual support and shared wisdom. It is is the only organization in Northern California dedicated exclusively to strengthening rabbinic well-being—because inspired, connected rabbis create vibrant Jewish life. The board’s vision is both simple and transformative: strengthening rabbis so that they can lead the Jewish community with inspiration and wisdom.

Member rabbis wear many hats: teachers and counselors, congregational leaders and chaplains, educators, and communal visionaries. Members represent Jewish communities of every size and shape.

Community members should reach out to the board if they are no longer affiliated with a congregation and are in need, whether it be for spiritual guidance, a funeral or memorial, baby naming, wedding or another purpose.  The NCBOR staff will reach out to its members to find someone available to assist.
