The show, written and performed by the JCHS students, envisions a meeting between the title character in Lewis Carroll’s “Alice in Wonderland” and five women who have challenged societal assumptions about women and science — Hypatia, Marie Curie, Hedy Lamarr, Rosalind Franklin and Vera Rubin.
Development of the multimedia play exploring the power of women in STEM, directed by JCHS drama director Dylan Russell, began in the fall of 2016.
The show is at 7 p.m. May 16-18 at the JCHS Performing Arts Theater, 1835 Ellis St., S.F. Tickets are $10, or $5 for students. For more information, visit jchsofthebay.org.
