Moishe House, launched in Oakland in 2006 as a way for post-college Jewish young adults to live, meet and engage in Jewish life, has opened a new house in San Francisco’s NoPa (North of the Panhandle) neighborhood.
This is Moishe House’s sixth house in the Bay Area and its fourth in San Francisco (the others are in North Beach and the Mission District); there are also houses in the East Bay and Palo Alto. The organization has more than 100 houses established in 25 countries.
Moishe House residents receive subsidized rent and funding to create and host Jewish public events throughout the year, from Shabbat dinners to lectures to yoga classes and holiday events.

The Oakland Moshe house has been infiltrated by anti-Israel activists, and regularly hosts unsavory types like JVP. Nice job, folks
