Aileen Frankel of Oakland is pleased to announce that her daughter, Alicia, and son-in-law, Daniel Trujillo, welcomed their second son, Asher Trujillo, on May 19, 2024, in Boca Raton, Florida. Asher was given the Hebrew names Isaac Kfir Ori to honor his great-grandparents: Inge Luchtenstein Frankel from Germany, Kadriye Sabuncuoglu from Turkey, and Oscar Cotelo from Cuba. The meaning of the Hebrew names are “laughter,” “little lion” and “my light.” Big brother Damian is 18 months older and full of love and kisses for his new sibling.
Weddings
Joshua Kaye, 33, and Ahuva Sunshine, 32, were married in Baltimore, Maryland, on July 21, 2024. The marriage was officiated by Rabbi Avi Strausberg.
Josh is the son of Fran Tannenbaum Kaye and Dr. Brian Kaye of Piedmont, and the grandson of Tobye and Dr. Ronald Kaye z”l of Palo Alto and Helen Tannenbaum of Hunt Valley, Maryland, and William Tannenbaum z”l. He is a graduate of Brandeis University, holds a master’s degree in International Relations from George Washington University and currently works for the U.S. State Department.
Ahuva is the daughter of Elizabeth and Dr. Joshua Sunshine of University Heights, Ohio, and the granddaughter of Phyllis z”l and Dr. Herbert z”l Sunshine and Maureen z”l and Rabbi Tzvi z”l Roszler. She is a graduate of the University of Maryland and the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, and currently serves as an attorney for the Veterans Administration.
The couple lives in Washington, D.C.
