A national honors program for intellectually curious middle school students attending public and secular private schools to explore Jewish texts, the heroic story of modern Israeland the influence of Jewish ideas on America. The program is hosted in more than 30 communities nationwide, with hubs in Palo Alto, East Bay and San Francisco.

Students meet weekly in-person for serious seminar-style learning guided by a Tikvah-trained educator. Beyond the core classes, Millstone offers field trips, national debates, writing contests, and educational family events.

Most students finish bar or bat mitzvah preparation and simply stop—leaving Jewish learning at the very moment their identities are forming. This program bridges that gap, keeping middle schoolers engaged with their heritage, their community and their intellectual curiosity.

Students graduate from the program ready to navigate high school as confident, knowledgeable and connected young Jews.
