Hannah Rosenthal, executive director of the Jewish Council for Public Affairs, said, “I don’t want to see armed camps in my neighborhood.”

The move to arm Jewish civilians came in response to the revelation on CBS News’ “60 Minutes” of the 1993 World Trade Center plotters’ intent to attack Jewish communities in Brooklyn.

“We will do nothing illegal,” Lloyd told reporters.
