Jennifer Lauren Nierenberg of Palo Alto, daughter of Karen and Dr. Michael Nierenberg of Palo Alto, and Dr. Hugh Richard Harris of Palo Alto, son of Joan Harris of Los Angeles and William Harris of Phoenix, have announced their engagement.
The bride-to-be received a bachelor’s degree from U.C. Davis and an MBA from the University of Michigan. She is an executive education program manager at Stanford University for nonprofit programs. She is the sister of Erik Nierenberg of Los Angeles. Grandparents are Mildred and Arthur Nierenberg of Hobe Sound, Fla.
Her fiancé received a bachelor’s degree from UCLA and his medical degree from Hahneman Medical School. On faculty at Stanford Medical Center, he is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine and critical care. He is the brother of Steven Harris of San Diego.
The couple met on JDate a year ago, after Jenni’s mother convinced her to give it a try. Hugh and Jenni had several conversations before meeting for coffee and finding that they were perfect for each other.
