Former mother-in-law of Ruth Willheim Rosenthal. Grandmother of Julie (and David) Iskowitz, Adam (and Stacey) Sager, Joel and David Abramovitz. Sister of Alice Kohn Jaye and the late Ann Stolowitz. Sister-in-law to the late Betty Levy and the late Rose Delman. Aunt of Sandra (and David) Monasch, Ron (and Suzy) Stolowitz, Rich (and Mary) Berkowitz, Allan (and Rosemarie) Levy and Idell (and Robert) Walker. Great-aunt to many nieces and nephews. Raised in San Francisco and graduated from San Francisco’s Girls High School. Longtime member of Congregation Sherith Israel. Avid card player, teller of jokes and stories. Stepbrother of Peter and Janet Frumhoff, Andy and Kaura Katcher. Born March 10, 1953. Grew up in Woodland Hills. Received a bachelor’s degree in geology and a master’s in civil engineering from U.C. Berkeley. Civil engineer. Earned professional engineering license. Worked at Woodward-Clyde and URS . Enjoyed outdoor activities, especially in Yosemite. Bicyclist. Served on board of directors at Temple Isaiah. Member of National Synagogue 2000 Committee. Services were held at Temple Isaiah in Lafayette on Feb. 20. Graduated from University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. Received master’s degree from S.F. State University. Resident of San Mateo for more than 40 years. Member of the San Mateo County Board of Education for 27 years. Volunteer with California State Commission on Special Education, the California County Boards of Education and the San Mateo County Juvenile Justice Commission.
