The S.F.-based Jewish Community Federation announced it has raised $530,000 for its Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund in the past two weeks.
Money raised is sent directly to United Jewish Communities, the federation’s national umbrella organization.
So far, the funds have been used to help evacuees, both Jewish and non-Jewish, relocate to new communities, as well as provide food, clothing and shelter to those affected by the storm. For further information or to donate to the fund, go to www.sfjcf.org.
