“In light of the publication of excerpts of an interview I gave to Israel Radio, I wish to clarify that I do not disrespect the Israeli flag. The Israeli flag is not a rag, and I apologize from the bottom of my heart if what I said was misinterpreted,” Miller wrote to Olmert.
Miller also apologized on Israel Radio. He said what he meant to say was that the flag, and Zionism, have no meaning if Israel does not maintain strong Jewish values.
