Women heroines of the Bible topic for new class at ALSJCC

A course on Women’s Midrash of Biblical Heroines will begin at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28 and continue through Dec. 2 at Albert L. Schultz Jewish Community Center, 655 Arastradero Road, Palo Alto.

Chorus to sing Yiddish, Ladino melodies

Sacred and Profane, a chamber chorus directed by Susan Swerdlow, will perform two concerts of Yiddish songs, 19th century liturgical works, folk and contemporary music from Israel, Yemenite and Ladino melodies and music from Theriesenstadt.
