Pearl Portuges in San Francisco on October 26, 2008 at age 87. Born August 1, 1921 in Chicago to Samuel and Celia Eidinoff, Pearl was raised in San Francisco since the age of five. She worked in San Francisco as a stenographer for the federal government. Pearl’s last home was the Jewish Home where she volunteered her time and made many friends. She is survived by her daughters, Maxine (Paul) Dumas and Diana Pettit; her grandchildren, April (Jason) Lasky, Michelle (Mike Washer) Dumas, Nicole (Jenni Laszlo) Dumas, Shawn (Brandy) Tipton, Ami (Brian) Tipton Wells and Ari Pettit; and great granddaughter, Mollie Lasky. Funeral services were held at Salem Memorial Park, Colma. The family requests contributions in Pearl’s memory to the Jewish Home, 302 Silver Ave., SF, CA 94112-1510. Sinai Memorial Chapel.
