The Jewish Community Center, Sonoma County will honor good deeds at the 16th annual Simcha Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25 in the east parking lot of the Santa Rosa Veteran’s Memorial Building.

There will be live music by Jubilee Klezmer Ensemble, Yiddish dance instruction, a drum circle and children’s activities, including a performance by entertainer Diana Shmiana, hands-on arts and crafts and face painting.

Artists will sell Judaica arts and crafts, and vendors will serve blintzes, bagels, corned beef sandwiches, kosher hot dogs, latkes and kugel. There also will be a challah baking contest.

Simcha Sunday coordinators are trying to make the event green by providing compostable dishes and collecting recycled electronic devices. Carpools are also encouraged.
