Sonoma State University is exploring the long-term repercussions of genocide on family, community and society during its 27th annual Holocaust and Genocide Lecture Series.
The six remaining lectures, held every Tuesday through May 25 (except April 6), feature a number of distinguished speakers from throughout the world, representing survivors of the Holocaust and recent genocides in countries such as Rwanda, Bosnia and Cambodia.
At the end of each lecture, audience members are given the opportunity to ask questions and engage in dialogue with the speakers.
The next lecture is April 13, when James Waller, Ph.D., of the Auschwitz Institute for Peace and Reconciliation will speak on “Becoming Evil.”
All lectures begin at 4 p.m. and are held at Warren Auditorium, 1801 E. Cotati Ave, Rohnert Park.
The concluding event will be a faculty-student panel discussion on May 25. For details and a complete schedule, visit www.sonoma.edu/holocaust.
