The Jewish Home of San Francisco is gearing up for its 17th annual Jewish Home Golf Tournament, set for May 9 at the Peninsula Golf and Country Club in San Mateo.
The 2010 tournament grossed more than $220,000, according to Jewish Home officials, helping the facility continue its mission of enriching the lives of older adults by supporting programs and activities at the Home.
In last year’s event, Jason Sills recorded a hole-in-one, winning him a year lease on a Lexus.
The Peninsula Golf and Country Club is an exclusive private course, limited to 350 proprietary members, and this year it is celebrating its 100-year anniversary. It was founded in 1911 as the Beresford Country Club.
The golf will get under way at 12 p.m., with cocktails, an auction and dinner to follow at 5 p.m. In addition to playing spots, a range of tournament sponsorships are available. For more information, call (415) 469-2323 or send an e-mail to [email protected].
