Jewish Family and Children’s Services in Marin is offering a four-part workshop for people who care for someone older or ill.

“Caring for Those You Care About” is designed to offer understanding, solutions and support. People are welcome to attend one or all sessions, which are being conducted by Seniors At Home, a division of the S.F.-based JFCS.

The Osher Marin JCC, Congregation Rodef Sholom and Congregation Kol Shofar are co-sponsors.

The workshops are titled: “Setting boundaries and dealing with changing roles” (May 2); “Being an effective healthcare advocate — for yourself and others” (May 9); “Coping with difficult diseases (May 16); and “Care and compassion at the end of life” (May 23).

Workshops will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Osher Marin JCC, 200 N. San Pedro Road, San Rafael. Light snacks will be provided.

There is no fee to attend, but pre-registration is required. For more information or to register, call (415) 449-3777 or email [email protected].
