Two Palestinians were reported killed when Israel’s air force fired on terrorists that the military said were planning to launch rockets into southern Israel.
The air force told Israeli media that it knew the group was planning the attack and planned its strike, which took place July 5, before the group was able to launch any rockets toward Israel.
Israel typically retaliates for attacks on its territory rather than launching pre-emptive strikes. — jta
