Write On For Israel, an intensive yearlong journalism and Israel advocacy program for Bay Area high school sophomores and juniors, is accepting applications for its 2011 to 2012 cohort.
The program includes monthly seminars, a weekend retreat and a subsidized 10-day trip to Israel, all with a focus on improving students’ writing, critical thinking and public speaking skills.
The Avi Chai Foundation will fund the group for next year’s cohort at 100 percent, then 50 percent the year after, then 25 percent for the 2013-2015 program.
