The Business Leadership Council of the S.F.-based Jewish Community Federation will present its annual investment market update, “Where is the Smart Money Going?,” from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26 in San Francisco.

A panel will address the forces of deleveraging, the collapse of the euro, the falling dollar, emerging markets and who will do well in this economic environment.

Panelists include Matthew K. Berler of Osterweis Capital Management, Sarah E. Stein of Hall Capital Partners, Jamie M. Weinstein of KKR Asset Management and moderator Michael L. Alpert of Wetherby Asset Management.

Tickets are $25 to $60. The event will be held at Deloitte, 555 Mission St., San Francisco.

The BLC also is planning its annual “Jewish Vintners Wine Tasting” from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 16. Some 20 vintners are participating, including B.R. Cohn, Hagafen and Neiman Cellars. Tickets are $50 to $85. The wine tasting event will be held at the Intercontinental Hotel, 888 Howard St., S.F..
