Assi Azar, an Israeli TV personality who was voted one of the world’s 100 most influential gay people by Out Magazine in 2009, will be in San Francisco Tuesday,

Nov. 15 for the premiere of his recent documentary, “Mom and Dad, I Have Something to Tell You.” The 45-minute film will be shown at 7 p.m. at the Opera Plaza Cinema in San Francisco.

Tabbed by Out.com as the “Ryan Seacrest of the Holy Land,” Azar hosts the Israeli version of “Big Brother” on primetime television. A Q&A with the star will follow the documentary, which details Azar’s experience of coming out as a celebrity in Israel.

The Opera Plaza Cinema is located at 601 Van Ness Ave. The event, sponsored by the Consulate General of Israel in San Francisco, is free, but seating is limited; RSVP to [email protected].
