San Francisco Chabad will kick off a monthly lunch ’n’ learn series with a party from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22 at the Hub in San Francisco.

The first lecture, “Kabbala for Latkes,” will be given by Rabbi Yossi Marcus of North Peninsula Chabad. The event will include a lunch of Chanukah foods, including fresh-fried latkes.

“Jews are intrigued by learning,” said Chabad of S.F. Rabbi Yosef Langer, who created and hosts the series. “It goes hand in hand with our connection to God and Judaism.” Every month a different Chabad rabbi will teach and lead the discussion. The next several sessions will feature rabbis Gedalia Potash, Yosef Levin and Shlomo Zarchi.

The event, sponsored by the Bill Graham Menorah Project, takes place at the Hub, located in the Chronicle Building at 925 Mission St., S.F. Tickets are $10. For information or to RSVP, call (415) 668-6178 or visit www.chabadsf.org.
