A new tradition
Like many interfaith couples — no, make that all couples — journalists Cokie and Steve Roberts had to work things out. Over many years of celebrating Passover, they gradually found ways to make their seder accessible to all faiths while preserving key traditions in the haggadah. What started as a rough bunch of stapled photocopies evolved into “Our Haggadah: Uniting Traditions for Interfaith Families.” It integrates family traditions with new rituals and includes practical suggestions and advice, which the couple will share next week in the Bay Area.
