Hillel at Davis and Sacramento will stage an official coming-out party May 6 for its newly completed, 9,500-square-foot Hillel house gala directly across from the U.C. Davis campus. The grand opening celebration includes cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, entertainment and an auction.
The $5 million facility has been under construction for the past year. The Hillel house features a basement activity center; administrative offices, kosher kitchen, a chapel and activity and meeting rooms.
Items donated for auction include a Lake Tahoe vacation; Hagafen Cellars tour with dinner for four in Napa; Disneyland tickets for four; and a beachfront villa vacation in Costa Rica.
