Moldaw Family Residences in Palo Alto recently held its first “Leftover Matzoh Cook-off,” with residents and staff attempting to create gourmet delights with post-Passover unleavened bread before it went stale. The winners (left to right) were Chad Hyatt for his fish cakes and spicy peanut dipping sauce (creative category), Bee Cherkas for her dark chocolate matzah roca (overall winner), Shirley Milenko for her matzah kugel (savory) and Lottie Burger for her dried fruit-filled kugel (sweet).
