With a name that translates as “people of hope,” this vibrant, egalitarian Jewish community is dual affiliated with both the Conservative and Reform movements. This community joined together in 2021, merging two historic San Francisco synagogues, Congregation B’nai Emunah and Congregation Beth Israel Judea. An inclusive Southside Jewish community committed to social justice. Check the calendar as services alternate between 595 Taraval St. and 625 Brotherhood Way.

The congregation welcomes Jews and non-Jews, experienced prayer leaders, newbies and questioners, and people of all ages and means.

It is also inclusive.  People with disabilities and learning differences, people of color and LGBTQ people are the fabric and strength of this diverse family.
