A Jewish Renewal community combining innovative and traditional approaches. Offering Zoom-based noon yeshiva classes weekdays, Zoom- based Shabbat services every Friday night and Saturday morning, and Zoom celebrations of all Jewish holidays and observances. Meets for holidays, Shabbats, lifecycle events, guest speakers and progressive discussion groups—mostly on Zoom. Otherwise, hybrid events at homes and sacred spaces throughout Berkeley. Led by Rabbi-in-residence Jonathan Seidel and lay leaders, the minyan offers opportunities for personal growth and creativity. The gatherings are opportunities for joyful participatory worship, deep learning and contemplation, with space for music, connection, individual expression, meditation and dance.
