Congregation Shomrei Torah
The home of Reform Judaism in Sonoma County. Blending tradition with innovation, this is a diverse, inclusive and socially conscious community that provides a doorway to Jewish life through worship, study, social action, fellowship and play. Through weekly Shabbat and holiday services, a growing religious school, lifelong learning, socially progressive social action events, b’nai mitzvah and a rich program of community cultural offerings, the synagogue invites, welcomes, connects and support over 500 households.
The mission:
Worship God in accordance with the beliefs and teachings of Reform Judaism.
Cultivate a love and understanding of Jewish heritage in members and their children.
Foster a sensitive, caring and supportive congregational community where all are welcome and included.
Act with responsibility and compassion in the community.
Support the principles of equality, freedom and shalom among all people.
