Serves as a unique ground for discovery, where both Jews and non-Jews can explore Jewish tradition, history and culture. The library offers a physical collection of nearly 40,000 items, as well as a robust eBook collection, book group support and more than 60 virtual public programs annually.

Patrons from a wide variety of backgrounds connect with the riches of Jewish life and tradition according to their own interests and desires — whether it means studying Torah, reading poetry, watching films, or engaging with contemporary issues through a Jewish lens. The library’s programs bring thousands of people together to learn and converse, and extensive support services for book groups help hundreds of Bay Area readers partake in meaningful exchange spurred by reading.

The library is part of Jewish LearningWorks, and is located on the Jewish Community High School campus, with free parking in a  gated garage; enter on Pierce Street between Ellis and Eddy streets.
