A leading research and educational center serving Israel and world Jewry. It works to enrich the moral and spiritual life of the Jewish people, deepen the commitment to pluralism and Israel’s Jewish and democratic character, and rebuild the covenant between Israel and the Jewish world.

In the Bay Area, its work focuses on increasing the capacity of Jewish lay and professional leaders to guide their organizations in cultivating rich and meaningful approaches to Judaism. Programs include public lectures and small cohort learning that explore the challenges facing North American Jewry and Israel today, as well as summer leadership programs in Jerusalem for rabbis, Jewish educators and lay leaders. A growing suite of programs also serves young leaders ages 15–25 and the professionals, educators and institutions that support them.
