The Jewish presence in Alameda for over 100 years–a progressive Reform congregation for all ages.  Small congregation on the east end of Alameda is lively and engaging, with a religious school starting at pre-K.  Shabbat services on Friday night in person and on Zoom at 7:30, one Saturday of the month is a Morning Service starting at 10:30 a.m., followed by light luncheon. Monthly Saturday morning Tot Shabbat service for families with children under 6 years old is free and open to non-members.

Temple Israel of Alameda is about creating community, nurturing souls and enriching lives. Values are shared through an emphasis on home and family, tikkun olam (making the world a better place), Talmud Torah (lifelong Jewish learning) and creating sacred moments of spiritual exploration through worship.
