A progressive Secular Humanistic community identifying with the Jewish people through family, culture and history rather than through religion. Bar/bat mitzvah, holidays, lifecycles, opportunities for community and social action. Twice monthly hands-on participatory Sunday school includes music, dance, cooking and ethics as well as Jewish history. Adult programs include discussions and a movie group. Sponsors a casual family Shabbat or Havdallah once a month. Welcoming to nontraditional families, including same-sex couples and families of mixed religious or ethnic backgrounds.
