Sisterhood starts Saratoga lectures

"The Ballet of the Service" is the first in a series of three lectures sponsored by Beth David Sisterhood. It will by presented by Karin Braunschweig at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26 at Congregation Beth David, 19700 Prospect Road, Saratoga.

On Nov. 9, Elizabeth Klein will discuss "The Melodies of Prayer." Nov. 30 Dorothy Miller will speak on "Hidden Gems in the Sabbath Service." Rivka Shenhav will present the final topic, "Pathways Through the Torah" on Dec. 14.

Psychologist offers interfaith family tips

Psychologist Joel Crohn will speak on "Give, Take and Negotiate in the Interfaith Family" at 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 22 at Congregation Beth Am, 26790 Arastradero Road, Los Altos Hills.

Crohn's talk will include a film about some of the issues interfaith couples tackle, plus a question-and-answer period.
