He and his wife have donated funds to equip and open the day school’s computer center in 1995.

Illeana Benhamou, also born in North Africa, is a poet who received a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Paris.

Guest speaker for the evening will be Rabbi Shaya Cohen, executive vice president of Priority I, a national sponsor of Jewish outreach programming.

He will be scholar-in-residence at the day school’s Shabbaton at Sunnyvale’s Maple Tree Inn Friday, Feb. 23 to Sunday, Feb. 25.

The tribute dinner will begin with a cocktail reception at 5:30 p.m. followed by a kosher dinner at 6:30. Cost for both reception and dinner is $135 per person, or $85 for dinner only.
