Correspondent | April 12, 1996 Scholars to lead afternoon of classes at Beth El in Berkeley Congregation Beth El will hold its first Communiversity, an afternoon of classes led by community scholars on secular and religious topics, from 1:15 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, April 14 at the synagogue, 2301 Vine St., Berkeley. Instructors include Beth El Rabbi Ferenc Raj, U.C. Berkeley Boalt Hall College of Law Professor Robert Post; U.C. Berkeley Professor of English Stephen Greenblatt and others. Courses range from "Finding Meaning in Jewish Life Cycle Events" to "The Regulation of Hate Speech." Tuition starts at $5 for students and goes up to $40 per family. Proceeds will support the Beth El Sisterhood Camp Scholarship Fund. To register, call (510) 848-3988.
